Drake Graduate and Nashville Recording Artist Danika Portz To Perform At the Drake Relays Presented by Hy-Vee

first_imgThe Fanfest features food and drinks from various vendors as the Drake Relays pairs world-class track and field with the festive atmosphere of a street festival. Portz graduated from Drake in 2011 and moved to Nashville five days later to pursue a career in the music industry as a recording artist, songwriter and touring musician. Since moving to Music City, Portz has headlined seven U.S. military tours across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. Her songs and vocals have been featured on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior, CBS’ Big Brother and MTV. She has opened for acts such as Martina McBride, Dan + Shay, David Cook, A Thousand Horses and Michael Ray. Drake University alumna, Danika Portz, is making a return to campus Saturday, April 27, to perform at the Drake Relays presented by Hy-Vee Fanfest. Portz will perform three free acoustic sets for Drake Relays fans and the community to enjoy Saturday at 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the Fanfest located on Forest Ave outside the iconic brick walls of Drake Stadium.The busy thoroughfare, also known as Paul F.
