first_imgBREAKING NATIONAL NEWS: Gardai in Athy, Co Kildare are investigating a serious road traffic collision in Kildare this evening in which four young women, all students, have died.The collision between a car and a van occurred shortly before 10pm at Birdstown, Co Kildare, approx. 3 miles from Junction 3(M9) heading for Athy N78.A number of people (five females and two males) were seriously injured and were treated at scene and taken to Naas General hospital. Four of the females have since died.
