Blissett backs Watford for promotion despite managerial upheaval

first_imgLuther Blissett believes Watford can win promotion this season despite the managerial upheaval at the club.Slavisa Jokanovic this week became the Hornets’ fourth boss in six weeks, with Billy McKinlay’s reign brought to an end after just eight days.Blissett described the situation at his former club as ‘crazy’, but he reckons they are still well set to reach the Premier League.Speaking on the Sports Bar, he said: “We are in a great position in the league at the moment and it is just a case of building on that.“The squad at the moment, without any injuries and suspensions, is good enough [to win promotion]. It’s important we keep players fit and not lose key players.“Hopefully, he [Jokanovic] will settle in very quickly and we can be that team we have seen flashes of at the beginning of the season.“Automatic [promotion] would be ideal, and we are capable of doing that.”last_img read more
