Mallorca 1-Alavés 0 Cucho deactivates the VAR

first_imgGoals1-0, 62 ‘: Cucho Hernández Already in the second half, the Alavés began warning, but Take Kubo’s appearance electrified the duel and improved Mallorca. But if against something the vermilion team cannot fight it is with the VAR. In 54 ’ Dani Rodríguez scored a great goal because at the start of the action Cucho controlled the ball with his hand. This new blow seemed difficult to digest, but Mallorca continued rowing, pushed by necessity, and, in 63 ’, Cucho made the 1-0. The Alavés did not rise and the vermilion triumph, of gold. EI Mallorca resisted, persisted, believed and won. The vermilion set was better than the Alavés and did not fall apart when the VAR canceled Dani Rodrígue a great goalz. Those of Vicente Moreno did an exercise of overcoming and Cucho signed the goal that takes them off the descent. Pacheco was not enough and Alavés looks down at the table.Occupying downhill positions is something that grips and places weight on the players’ boots and it was found in a Mallorca that started idling. The Alavés, better placed, pushed the opponent and although he did not test Manolo Reina, he gave off better sensations. With the passing of the minutes, the fear disappeared, Pozo and Lumor were shown by the bands and those of Vicente Moreno began to deserve something more. In the 25 ’, Budimir had a great opportunity, after a strategic action in a corner, but Pacheco was excellent. It was the start of the Alavés goalkeeper’s recital, which was placed under the spotlight and still shone more four minutes later. Magallán committed a penalty because the ball touched him on the left arm after a header from Budimir. The referee did not hesitate and the VAR ratified it. It was Salva Sevilla who took the responsibility and Pacheco who took the prize. He guessed the intention of the half vermilion and stopped the maximum penalty. That mistake did not hold the vermilion, but it stirred them even more. Vicente Moreno got tired of shouting “calm” because he saw that the actions of his team were full of precipitation and this caused the success to be minimal. ChangesLeonardo Kourtis (27 ‘, Lumor), Takefusa Kubo (51 ‘, Aleix Febas), Edgar Mendez (56 ‘, Oliver Burke), Manu García (67 ‘, Lisandro Magallán), Martín Aguirregabiria (76 ‘, Aleix Vidal), Aleksander Sedlar (83 ‘, Alejandro Pozo) “We had to win for many reasons. We came from negative results (three straight losses) that make you dent, make you doubt. We have won the prize for a great job of the players, and I’m very happy for them and the fans,” he said The Valencian coach.Mallorca ended a streak of three straight games without winning, although according to Moreno “football is not being all fair” that he should with his team. “It has cost us a lot (add the three points at stake), but based on insisting we put the game where we wanted, I repeat, before a great rival in both physical and tactical,” he said. For Moreno, the entry of Japanese Takefusa Kubo in the second half was not decisive in the victory against Alavés, despite his notable contribution to the goal of the Colombian ‘Cucho’ Hernández. “Not especially,” the coach responded to the question of whether the player assigned by Real Madrid had stirred the Balearic attack.“The key (of the victory) was not there. Already in the first half a favorable result would not have been strange, regardless of the penalty (missed by Salva Sevilla). Take contributed his work, as Aleix Febas (Alexsandar) Sedlar and ( Leonardo) Koutris, who has made his debut for Lumor’s injury today. For me it is important to have a feeling for the team when you make a change and everyone has contributed, “he said.Asier Garitano: “We missed creating occasions”The coach of Deportivo Alavés, Asier Garitano, said after the defeat against Mallorca that his team “lacked to create chances”, in a game in which “we started very well in the first minutes of each period of time and we faced very excited, “he stressed.“We have competed and the players have given everything. We knew that it would be difficult because of the situation of Mallorca (in the classification), and that they were going to squeeze us a lot. We started well, we had that clear chance of Lucas in one on one, but we lacked that: get ahead because in this type of games they decide the teams that mark first, “Garitano explained. The Gipuzkoan coach insisted that his team “played many minutes in the rival field”, but also admitted that with the passing of the minutes, “Mallorca was tightening more and more and the game was changing in his favor.” “We wanted to generate concern in the field of an opponent who came from several defeats, but the truth is that it cost us more than in other games,” said Asier Garitano. This exoplanet could be a better candidate for life than Proxima b

first_img By Daniel CleryNov. 15, 2017 , 6:00 AM This exoplanet could be a better candidate for life than Proxima b ESO/M. Kornmesser center_img Proxima b, discovered last year, may be our nearest Earth-sized exoplanet, but it wouldn’t be where you’d want to spend your next space vacation. That’s because its star, Proxima Centauri, regularly blasts the planet with deadly ultraviolet light and x-rays. Now, astronomers have found a potentially more hospitable destination, and not much farther away. Using the European Southern Observatory’s High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher instrument in Chile, researchers detected a slight wobble in the position of a star called Ross 128, indicative of an orbiting planet. Both Ross 128 (11 light-years from Earth) and Proxima Centauri (4 light-years from Earth) are red dwarfs—the most numerous star type in the galaxy. But Ross 128 seems to be more tranquil, not emitting the flares that would plague life on a nearby planet. As the team describes today in Astronomy & Astrophysics, the planet they found—Ross 128 b—orbits its star in just 9.9 days at 1/20 the distance from Earth to the sun (artist’s rendition, above). The planet, which the team estimates has an average surface temperature between –60°C and 20°C, avoids getting fried because red dwarfs are much dimmer than our own sun. Ross 128 b’s closeness makes it a prime candidate in searches for alien life, but that will have to wait until more sensitive instruments and telescopes come on line in coming years.last_img read more
